A student at a private university in Tangerang, Banten, Luki, shared his story with Kompas.com, last Thursday (04/12/2021).
He said that at first one of Luki’s lecturers posted a screenshot of “prayer not being pointed at zooming” while teaching on Zoom.
Luki then used the screenshot as a background while attending an online lecture.
“Actually, it’s just for fun. To make fun of the original purpose, just for fun,” said Luki.
“I myself have never read that there is a ban on using it, except for those that are not polite, but I also saw the situation first. Does this lecturer object or not with a strange background,” he added
Some of his friends also use the same background. For students, it turned out that being appointed suddenly by the lecturer during an online lecture became a tense moment. On social media, they even share tips to avoid being on the lecturer’s “radar” to be appointed during Zoom.

In his story, Luki shares tips for students not to panic when appointed. The key is to stay focused during lectures and listen carefully to the lecturer’s explanation.
“Tips so that you don’t get appointed from me, pay attention to the lecturer. The problem is that the lecturers themselves also see students who pay attention or not,” said Luki.
According to him, there is no significant difference in terms of communication between lecturers and students when studying online or face-to-face. However, he said he preferred face-to-face learning.
“Conditions like this, bored and tired, for sure. Hold on, the pandemic will subside. Later, when it subsides, you will definitely be happy to be able to meet face-to-face with friends or teachers or lecturers,” said Luki giving a message to remain optimistic.
