Baleendah-Dayeuhkolot flood has not subsided yet – ipadguides

Not far from where I live in the south of Bandung, precisely in Dayeuhkolot & Baleendah sub-districts, until the time the photos below were taken (24/2) the flood had not subsided. Flood conditions are very severe because it is mixed with mud. There are so many houses that are not only flooded, but also inundated with mud.

Actually a flood of this magnitude has also occurred about 5-6 years ago. Even bigger until it reaches my campus IT Telkom. Floods have begun to be resolved with the massive cleaning of rivers that pass through flood-prone areas. But it seems that garbage has started to inundate the Citarum river again and the flood will start again.

The lack of public awareness played a major role in this disaster. The behavior of littering is very difficult to eliminate. Even on the riverbank near the boarding house, I saw the words “It is forbidden to throw garbage in the river” but in fact there was a lot of garbage underneath. And the waste is extraordinary, because the things that are thrown away are sofas, mattresses, chairs, and other plastic waste.

The photo below was taken not far from the dayeuhkolot bridge, armed with a boat, my friend and I began to explore the flood and see the situation. O Allah, give fortitude to all of them, and give awareness so that disasters like this do not happen again. Amen.
