Jakarta –
Dea Ananda is pregnant with her first child, Mother. Currently, Dea’s gestational age has entered 20 weeks or is in the 2nd trimester of pregnancy.
Dea Ananda and her husband, Ariel, decided to have children from the IVF program. The couple, who have been married for 12 years, started the program in 2020.
Dea Ananda and Ariel’s struggle to have children is not easy. Dea had to undergo a series of medical procedures because she had experienced polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, and hydrosalpinx.
“I saw the doctor, then recommended laparoscopy, but previously checked for PCOS. Then another laparoscopy was suspected because there was a hydrosalpinx, it was like a blockage in the left and right tubes. In the end, I did a laparoscopy first, then the surgery was done to remove the left and right tubes,” said Dea Ananda HiMom, recently.

Dea Ananda again underwent a laparoscopic examination after surgery. At that time, he turned out to have endometriosis, a condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows outside the uterine cavity.
“After that, it was done again by laparoscopy, it was found out that endometriosis was inside, so it was removed,” said Dea.
After being declared healthy, Dea did not immediately undergo the IVF program. Because, her husband, Ariel, must undergo sperm analysis because the quality is not good.
Ariel was also advised to lose weight and lead a healthy lifestyle by the doctor. About three months, his condition was declared good and ready to undergo IVF.
“He (Ariel) analyzed his sperm first, saw a doctor. Because he overweight, so the quality is lacking. So bring it down weight first,” said Dea Ananda.
“Yes, exercise, take vitamins too. About two or three months, about three times back and forth for sperm analysis, weight loss, diet and rest are improved, there are also drugs. Until we get the best condition, it starts , said Ariel.
After both conditions were declared good, Dea Ananda then underwent the initial stage of the IVF program, namely ovum pick up. After this procedure, she again had to wait because her uterus was never ready for embryo transfer. What’s the story like?
