ipadguides.id – The death of two students during education and training for the acceptance of new members of the Pagar Nusa Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit (UKM), finally made the Rectorate of the Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) Malang take firm steps, namely disbanding the UKM.

Direct Decision from Vice Chancellor III
Launching from SuaraJatim, Vice Chancellor III for Student Affairs of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Dr. H. Isroqunnajah said the decision was made after a meeting with university leaders.
“We have student guidelines, the points in the guidelines are sufficient for us. We will disband the Pagar Nusa organization or UKM,” said the Deputy Chancellor III.
Previously, there were two students who died, namely Miftah Rizky Pratama, a student from Bandung, who was a student of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at the Mathematics Tadris Department, and Faisal Lathiful Fakhri from Lamongan, who was a student of the Sharia Faculty, majoring in Sharia Economic Law.
Both died on Saturday (06/03/2021), at approximately 14.00 WIB, while attending training at Coban Rais, Batu City. Both died on the way to a health care facility.

Disbandment Based on Student Activity Manual
The disbandment was based on the student activity manual, one of which clauses stated activities that could neglect the safety of life. This became the basis for the dissolution of the Pagar Nusa UIN Malang UKM.
“There is one clause that mentions activities that can ignore the safety of life, that’s what we use,” he said.
The UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang also conveyed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims in Lamongan and Bandung.
Currently, the campus has instructed the entire community to hold a prayer together for the two deceased.
“Indeed, feelings of grief will never be represented by our friendship and condolences to Bandung and Lamongan,” he said.
The training participants totaled 41 people and took place on March 5-7 2021. On the first day of implementation, the activity was carried out in Karangploso District, Malang Regency.
Then on the second day continued in Coban Rais, Batu City.
The two victims who died were taken to the Karsa Husada Hospital in Batu City, while the other one was taken to the Karangploso Health Center, Malang Regency. However, unfortunately both of them could not be saved and died.
