Graduated as a Family Together
The family who graduated together were husband and wife Muhammad Daswalidin, and Heni Mei Deviyani and their eldest daughter Aniestria Ahshaina Aghnat. They admitted that they were very happy to graduate together.
“We are very grateful, on this occasion, we as a family can achieve the educational target, Alhamdulillah, my wife cum laude in the Master of Basic Education and I in the Master of Management. And Alhamdulillah, my son graduated from the Pharmacy Study Program,” said Muhammad Daswaludin.
This family from Bumiayu, Brebes attended the graduation of the 66th batch which was held online and offline at the UMP Campus I Field, Dukuhwaluh Village, Kembaran District. Daswaludin said that this graduation left a distinct impression for his family, because during the COVID-19 pandemic the three of them were able to hold a graduation together.
Daswaludin said he graduated from the Master of Management with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.7, while his wife graduated from the Master of Basic Education with a GPA of 3.9 so that she received the predicate cum laude. Then her daughter graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy with a GPA of 3.17.
“For the difficulty, Alhamdulillah, there is no problem, because from UMP both lecturers and staff are very supportive, as well as providing convenience for various access to information and education,” said Daswaludin, who currently works as a teacher at SMK Muhammadiyah Bumiayu.
His wife, Heni Mei Deviyani, added that this graduation was a target for her family to achieve. They support and encourage each other so that they can graduate together this year.
“Together thesis, but different study programs so they encourage each other, 3 months of research, 3 months for reports. The target is the same as what was given, just support each other, encourage each other when working alone and share with each other, “explained Heni.
Meanwhile, according to Aniestria Ahshaina Aghnat, the eldest of three children, she said that she was very impressed to be able to graduate with her parents. Because, not everyone can get this kind of experience.
“I am very impressed to be able to graduate with my parents. Certainly a very rare moment and not everyone might be able to feel the graduation together, “said the child.
