The Ulul Albab Campus plans a Limited PTM after the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS) this semester. According to the academic calendar, UTS will be held around the end of October to early November 2021.

UIN Malang Chancellor Prof Zainuddin said that today, Friday (8/10/2021) the campus leadership held a coordination meeting related to the preparation of Limited PTM.

“So we are preparing the scenario because there must be many considerations, many aspects must be studied,” he said.

His party also paid attention to the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the Malang area. UIN Malang also coordinated between the internal Covid-19 task force and Malang City.

“We have to be careful even though it’s sloping (the Covid-19 case),” he added.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chancellor of UIN Malang, Prof. Umi Sumbulah, said that for the initial stage, PTM Limited was planned specifically for 1st semester students because they also live in dormitories or Ma’had.

“We are still discussing the mechanism because we don’t want this PTM to result in an explosion or new cases,” he said.

The plan is that the Limited PTM at UIN Maliki Malang will take effect after the odd semester UTS. As for semester 3 and above, students are allowed to go to campus to do practicum, final project guidance, and access the library with very limited capacity and tighten health protocols.
