High School Textbook Contains Pornographic Sites, This is the Clarification of the Ministry of Education and Culture – Student Zone

ipadguides.id – Netizens discussed about high school textbooks containing pornographic sites, the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) immediately moved quickly to respond to reports on this matter.

Launching from JPNN.com, Totok Suprayitno as the Head of the Research and Development Agency and the Ministry of Education and Culture has conducted a search and verification based on data in the Sociology book for class XII SMA 2013 curriculum, published in 2015 which lists sites that are currently allegedly containing pornographic content.

When contacted by JPNN.com on Thursday (11/02/2021), Totok made a statement regarding the inappropriate site link.

“Based on the statement of the author and the assessment team, the site in question at the time of reference did initially contain content related to Sundanese culture,” said Totok.

This is also reinforced by searches on the web archive system until 2015. However, he said, the web domain was not managed properly.

“So this website turned out to have expired on May 30, 2016, so the site was later taken over by another party and the content has changed,” explained Totok.

For this reason, the Ministry of Education and Culture is coordinating with the Ministry of Communication and Information to filter and block the site.

Regarding this, Totok then mentioned the regulation in the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation (Permendikbud) Number 8 of 2016 concerning books used by education units.

The Minister of Education and Culture stipulates that both textbooks and non-textbooks must be in line with the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and positive norms prevailing in society.

To ensure the fulfillment of the values and standards of book criteria, it is necessary to involve all actors and stakeholders as a book ecosystem.

“The Ministry of Education and Culture gives appreciation to those who have provided criticism and input to improve textbooks,” said Totok.
