How to edit videos using “Free Video Editor”
1. Run “Free Video Editor”

2. Import videos
Click ‘Add file…’ to browse for video files or simply drag and drop your video files in the program window.

This app will generate audio waveform and show sound intensity.
The timeline will display the tags set automatically for the first frame of each video scene and playback indicators for navigating through the video.
Notes: Depending on the video duration and PC performance, indexing the video may take several minutes.
3. Edit videos
There are two ways to do this:
- by Selection
- by Tag
To edit a video using options do the following:
- Determine the starting point of the selection by clicking on the ‘Begin Selection’ button and specifying the end point by dragging the indicator to the desired position and clicking the same button.
- Choose as many options as possible that you want to delete.
- If you need to deselect: use the ‘Undo Selection’ button to delete the selection.
Notes: to deselect all, place the indicator in the unselected area. To clear a selection, place an indicator within this selection.
Video Cutter / Cropper
- Remove automatically set tags by clicking ‘Edit > Delete Auto Tags’ in the Menu (or right click and select ‘Delete all auto tags’).
- Set additional tags: drag the playback indicator to the point where you want to set a new tag and click the ‘Set tag’ button.
- Edit tags: Go to the ‘Edit tags’ menu and specify an interval for the tags (eg 10 min, 3 min or 30 sec), or set a specific number of tags for the video file, (eg 1, 5, etc.), or use the ‘Delete All’ button (you can also select the tags you want to delete by highlighting them and pressing Del on the keyboard).
4. Select the output option and save the video
Select an output format from the drop-down menu: Original, AVI, MP4, MKV, MP3 (audio only) or GIF.
- Save Video (save video as single file deletes selected part)
- Split by selections + Save video (delete all selected scenes and save the remaining parts as separate files)
- Split by tags + Save video (split video by tags and save the parts as separate files)
