Installing PlayOnLinux on Ubuntu 11.04

RahmanCyber.NET – There are two ways that can be used to install the PlayOnLinux application on Ubuntu 11.04, namely by executing the .deb file and using the command line in the terminal. The operating system used is Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal.

The first way to Install PlayOnLinux

1. Download the PlayOnLinux .deb file here

2. After the download is complete, right-click the file and then click Open with Ubuntu Software Center.

The second way of PlayOnLinux Installation

1. Open your terminal, follow the following commands one by one

wget -q "http://deb.playonlinux.com/public.gpg" -O- | sudo apt-key add -
sudo wget http://deb.playonlinux.com/playonlinux_natty.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/playonlinux.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install playonlinux

2. After the installation is complete, type

playonlinux

3. On some VGA cards, the glxinfo application is needed, if when running PlayOnLinux the following image appears:

PAYONLINUX INSTALLATION

Type command

sudo apt-get install mesa-utils
