Mother, in Indonesia, it turns out that the majority Cases of death in COVID-19 patients are experienced by comorbid people. The most common type of comorbid disease is diabetes mellitus.

“In fact, nationally, based on data accessed from online hospitals on February 13, 2022, it was noted that the majority of deaths were contributed by comorbid diabetes mellitus,” he explained.

People with diabetes are more prone to hypoglycemia because the drugs and insulin used are in excess of the dose. Insulin plays a role in controlling glucose, lowering blood sugar levels when they are too high.

Diabetes is one of the comorbidities that can worsen the symptoms of COVID-19 infection. The COVID-19 Task Force said that most of the COVID-19 patients who died in Indonesia were people with hypertension and/or diabetes.
