The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia did show a decreasing trend of daily new cases in the last few weeks, but this did not then have a direct impact on the economic recovery in society. Realizing that many people still find it difficult to fulfill their daily needs, because of this, Niagahoster took the initiative. Last August, Niagahoster ran the #NiagahosterSalingBantu campaign with the hope of helping Niagahoster customers and the public in general survive these difficult times.

The #NiagahosterSalingBantu program is divided into several initiatives. First, in the form of publications on Niagahoster’s social media. This initiative is specifically for Niagahoster customers who have registered their business for assistance with publication on Niagahoster’s social media. This is done in the hope of increasing exposure to Niagahoster’s customers’ businesses. This publication on Niagahoster’s social media has been running since August 7, 2021 and so far 60 businesses belonging to Niagahoster’s customers have been assisted in publishing on Niagahoster’s social media channels.

The

next initiative from the #NiagahosterSalingBantu program is the distribution of basic necessities to the people who are most economically affected by the pandemic. The food distribution program was carried out in two areas, namely Yogyakarta and Sumenep. The reason for the selection of these two areas is that Jogja is the area where Niagahoster’s office is based and Sumenep was chosen because there happened to be a field team there who reported a fairly severe economic impact on the community.

In

total, there were 1066 food packages distributed in this food distribution program with 666 distributions distributed in Sumenep and 400 distributed in Jogja. The target groups for the distribution of basic necessities include the general public around Jogja and Sumenep, the online motorcycle taxi driver community and the merchant association in Malioboro.

“We took this initiative as a form of Niagahoster’s concern for the environment. We do not turn a blind eye to the fact on the ground that perhaps the difficulties faced by the community are not only about businesses that are increasingly difficult to spin during the pandemic, but also the wider impact of meeting the needs of daily life. We hope that this assistance that we provide, although it is certainly not sufficient to meet the needs of life in the future, can be sufficient to help relieve the people who are greatly affected by the pandemic from an economic perspective,” said Ade Syah Lubis as CEO of Niagahoster when asked why Niagahoster held the Niagahoster program. Help each other.

This

#NiagahosterSalingBantu program is not the first time Niagahoster has undertaken. In 2020, Niagahoster once carried out the same initiative by distributing hundreds of food packages which at that time was only carried out in the city of Jogja in collaboration with BPBD Yogyakarta. In the same initiative, Niagahoster also helped publish dozens of customer businesses on Niagahoster’s social media channels.
