Google has been making smartphones since 2011, so it’s no surprise that its newest phone, the Google Pixel 2, looks similar to last year’s model. It features an aluminum frame with glass on both sides, along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It also comes with wireless charging capabilities, which means you won’t have to worry about plugging it into a charger every night.
The design of the Pixel 2 is very similar to its predecessor, with a glass back and aluminum frame. It has an IP68 rating for water resistance, meaning it should survive being submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.

Camera Performance

The camera on the Google Pixel 2 is one of the best we’ve seen on any smartphone. It uses a 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture lens and optical image stabilization (OIS) technology. This allows photos to come out sharp even when taken at low light levels. The front-facing camera is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture lens and OIS as well. Both cameras feature HDR+ mode, which automatically adjusts brightness and contrast to make sure your images look good.

Battery Life

The battery life on the Google Pixel 2 lasts longer than its predecessor, with up to 30 hours of use on a full charge. That means you’ll be able to take advantage of the phone’s excellent camera capabilities while still having enough juice left over to make calls and send texts.

Software

The Google Pixel 2 comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, which includes some new software features. One of the biggest changes is the ability to set an app as “always on.” This feature allows users to keep certain apps open even when they’re not actively using them. It also lets you quickly access notifications without opening the app itself.
