ipadguides.id – Good news for the Indonesian people, UniRank has named UMM the best Islamic campus in the world in 2021. The coronation was achieved after UMM succeeded in occupying the first position in the 2021 list of Top Islamic Universities in The World. UniRank itself is an international university ranking institution based in Sydney, Australia.
Launching from TuguJatim.id, in this ranking, UMM outperforms Islamic campuses in the world, namely Iran University of Science and Technology which occupies the second position and Cairo University which occupies the third position.

4 Indonesian Campuses Enter the Top 10
Besides UMM, there are 4 campuses from Indonesia which are included in the top 10 best Islamic campuses in the world. Some of them are Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (4th position), Muhammadiyah Surakarta University (8th position), Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang (9th position) and the Islamic University of Indonesia (10th position).
In his assessment, the UniRank official website states that there are several assessment categories. Some of them are:
- Received official accreditation and licensed by relevant organizations, national and regional bodies including the Ministry of Education in a country
- Offer a minimum of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree (master or doctoral), and
- Provide curriculum in traditional, face-to-face, and non-distance education formats.
“Our goal is to provide a non-academic League Table (review) of the best Islamic Universities in the world based on valid, unbiased and non-influenced web metrics (other parties) provided by web intelligence sources independent of the data submitted by the University. itself,” wrote UniRank on its official website.

UniRank Displays Reviews and Ratings Every Year
Annually, UniRank features reviews and ratings of more than 13,800 officially recognized universities and colleges in 200 countries.
The rankings are based on an algorithm that includes 5 independent web metrics from 4 different web sources: Moz Domain Authority; Alexa Global Rank; SimilarWeb Global Rank; Majestic Referring Domains; and Majestic Trust Flow.
