If your photo is not good enough, you’re not close enough.
Capa is not kidding. The closer we are to the subject of the photo, the more impact it will have.
For example, I took this photo at Rancabuaya beach. The waves pass just below the camera so the effect is really felt. Actually, this was unintentional hehe, and I feel lucky that the camera didn’t get swept away by the waves.
Closer? What do you mean by telephoto lens?
Not!
Getting closer means getting really closer with your feet! Use a wide lens and get close to the subject. Try it and see the difference.
Getting closer to the subject will make the viewer of the photo join in the moment in the photo.
